About Step Up Nigeria:

Step Up Nigeria is on a mission to reduce corruption through anti-corruption education. Our mission includes educating Nigerians about the consequences of corruption, and fostering government-citizen collaboration for better governance.

Role Purpose:

The Communications Coordinator will coordinate Step Up Nigeria’s communication, ensuring high visibility for all anti-corruption initiatives. Overseeing the communications team, the coordinator will manage platforms like Step-Up TV, our social media channels, and the Step- Up Podcast series. This pivotal role will also lead initiatives such as The Anti-Corruption Star Awards.

Essential Criteria:

1. Strategic Communications: Ability to develop and implement cohesive communication strategies.
2. Media and Content Creation: Experience with content calendars, newsletters, blog posts, website updates, Step Up Nigeria TV, and press releases.
3. Training and Team Leadership: Proven skills in educating and training staff on communication protocols and processes. The ability to line manage and mentor interns is essential.
4. Project Leadership: Demonstrable experience in overseeing the planning and execution of significant projects or events.
5. Media Relations: Adept at engaging with media partners and creating media kits for events and initiatives.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a dynamic individual with a solid background in communications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing and overseeing communication strategies, understanding strategic communications, proficiency in social media, and experience in podcast and newsletter development.
