IF I AM PRESIDENT – A NETFLIX FILM PROMOTING INTEGRITY IN GOVERNANCE
Do you believe that storytelling through films has the power to change the attitudes and behaviours of people in society?
On episode one of our films for social change series, we interview Bright Wonder, the brains behind the brilliant If I am President Film on Netflix. #NaijaToTheWorld!
On speaking to Bright, we ask him about his vast career in directing impactful films. He tells us about the most significant challenge he has faced as a filmmaker and the lessons he has learned along the way. He also shares stories of change from persons affected by the films.
With the current political situation in Nigeria, “IF I AM PRESIDENT” gains entirely new relevance for young Nigerians clamouring for political change as it casts the spotlight on the cost of corruption in Nigeria’s economy and prophetically redicts violence against peaceful protesters even before they happen.
We also ask him about the annual Africa Film For Impact Festival (AFFIF), which improves the awareness of citizens on societal issues through the films featured.
