The Federal Capital Territory Administration Universal Basic Education Board (FCT UBEB) has officially approved Step Up Nigeria to extend its anti-corruption education programme to Junior Secondary Schools in the FCT.

In a formal Letter of Approval dated 18th May 2026 (Ref: FCT/UBEB/EDU/SUN/7538), the Board granted approval for Step Up Nigeria to sensitize students of JSS Lokogoma and JSS Apo on the negative impact of corruption and to distribute anti-corruption story books to them.

This approval, signed on behalf of the Executive Chairman by Emmanuel S.A., Deputy Director of NGOs & Bilateral Relations, marks another important step in expanding values-based education across public schools in the nation’s capital.

Key Highlights:

  • Official approval from FCT UBEB to engage students at JSS Lokogoma and JSS Apo
  • Focus on sensitizing students about the dangers of corruption
  • Distribution of anti-corruption story books to support learning
  • Step Up Nigeria to work directly with the school Principals for smooth implementation

This partnership reinforces Step Up Nigeria’s commitment to “Catch Them Young” by equipping young Nigerians with the knowledge, values, and courage to reject corruption and demand integrity in public service.

We are grateful to the FCT UBEB for this approval and look forward to a successful engagement that will contribute to building a culture of integrity among the next generation of leaders.
