Nigeria’s 2017 audit report for the federation was released in December 2019. The report showed no significant improvement in the management of public resources by government agencies. It also showed a general lack of transparency in the award and use of public funds.

The good news is that there was a slight improvement in the submission of audited accounts by government agencies.
